We have been to and heard about so many fabulous Hen Parties over the last few years - From Spa breaks to Barcelona, to dinner and a show up in the city. Not to forget.. shopping shopping and more shopping!
However a new breed of Hens have been clucking about their BEST WEEKEND EVER!! - All the girls together for one big muddy last hurrah! At a festival! (mud masks are provided free of charge!)
So whats all this about? We thought you ladies loved to have everything prim and proper, the glitz, the glam, everything where it should be, organised to the last second, and the male strippers on speed dial!? SO What's changed?
The recession for one
The credit crunch has brought our hens out of their comfortable and predictable pens...and is motivating them to dive into the thick and fun of a dirty weekend! (after all, why should the Stags get all the fun!?)

No.1 - WELLIES! that's right, every girls secret wardrobe best friend. They go with everything. They are cheap (unless you want to be uber cool and don your Hunter Wellies). You can get them as mucky as you like - and let's face it...teamed with some long socks, a cool T' and some denim hot pants, you feel as 'haaaat' as Ms.Moss
No.2 - VARIETY (NEVER A DULL MOMENT). A festival is a festival, as long as it has great music, an eclectic array of food vendors, cider and sparkling wine, and a field - It's guaranteed FUN and it's also possible to cater to all of your hens tastes. Most festivals have something for everyone, from a chill out zone where you can get some much needed R&R, a Bohemian tent with some very attractive/athletic mixologists whipping you up your fave tipple. Luxe Toilets for the squeamish, and a greasy fry up van for the morning after.

No. 3 - FANCY DRESS. Most festivals have a fancy dress theme throughout the duration so yes you can be someone else for the weekend - just make sure you have some strict facebook tagging rules in place before you go!
No. 4 - ITS GREAT FUN WITH THE GIRLS - BUT....THE BOYS CAN COME TO. Lets face it, nowadays some of your best friends could be one of the lad's and it wouldn't be right to exclude him from your knee's up. Festivals are great because you can all go together, but there is enough room to split up and do your girly thing, then meet back at the main stage for a great night, girls and guys!
The down side is that perhaps it's not one for your Nan or your Mum (unless you are blessed with epically cool ones) perhaps a nice spa day after the weekend with them will not only make them feel better - but make you feel a little more human after all those mud fuelled festivities.
