Country Wedding at Tapnell Farm, Isle of Wight

Tapnell Farm on the Isle of Wight is home to several amazing holiday retreats, such as Tapnell Manor and Tom's Eco Lodge
Nestled away upon a hill with breathtaking views over the sea and the beautiful surrounding countryside, you couldn't really ask for a better location to get married (and to impress your guests!)

The beauty of having a wedding at Tapnell Farm is that you get to use the whole site which includes Tapnell Manor, which sleeps up to 20 people and has beautifully kept grounds -perfect for those all important romantic photographs.
There is also Tom's Eco Lodge comprising of 5 luxurious glamping safari tents, sleeping up to 8 guests in each!  And between the two is a quaint wooded spinney where you could house a large yurt or a small marquee for your wedding.
Or why not hire a huge marquee to accommodate all festivities and house it in the field next to the Manor and Lodges? The options really are endless, and not only are you getting to use an exclusive venue for your wedding, you can house up to 50 guests for a week for as little as £100 p/p! So everyone gets to relax and enjoy the beautiful Isle of Wight with all it's many wonders..

I digress....

As this is a new venue we wanted to show it off in all it's glory - Which is when we teamed up with Wight Wedding Photography's creator Sam Scadgell and a wonderful team of island bridal suppliers.
And with our styling and a lovely couple who were very much in love we were away.

Et Voila... here are the results from the day!

Country Weddings

Today we are a little blurry eyed and pleasantly 'danced out' after throwing a Barn Party with Tom's Eco Lodge and Tapnell Manor at Tapnell farm on the Isle of Wight.

I mentioned in the last post that we have been working with a potential wedding site which will be now be ready in the early autumn. In the meantime we were lucky enough to have a go at throwing a barn party in one of their lovely barns. The farm is a working dairy farm, with breathtaking views over the solent and rolling hills of country side. Not only is it a farm, but it is also home to one of the best Glamping sites in Europe, and also a beautiful character manor - where guests can also spend their time.

Barn Parties are SO much fun. The one we threw yesterday, 'Tap'n'Ale,' was very rustic and relaxed... It was a great venue for a party, and the site would make a wonderful wedding destination, whether you hired a marquee or used the barn.

Here are some pic's from the event

Jewellery for Bridesmaids..

7 Rings for 7 Bridesmaids - Buy Here
Asking your nearest and dearest to join you on the big day as your bridesmaid is sometimes all they really want,  but don't forget, it is a hard task being your right hand ladies on one of the most important days of YOUR life. The pressure can be immense (especially if you are a bit of a Bridezilla!)

This is why most brides also buy a little piece of jewellery for their girls as a tocan of their appreciation

Some see these gifts like 'grown up friendship bracelets', one last gesture of our childhood selves before being whisked away by prince charming to live a 'grown up' life!

Jewellery Designer Kimmi Piggott at Mai Jewellery is very familiar with this and she is fond of creating bespoke bridesmaid jewellery.

Above is a picture of 7 'Rock Pool' rings that she created for her friends wedding.
The bride was from the Isle of Wight, and when you are young finding a piece of 'fools gold' on the beach is like finding the crown jewels! The bride wanted to share this childhood treasure with her bridesmaids so Kimmi created 7 adjustable rings for her which they all wore on the big day! (including the bride)

Infinity Bracelet sold at www.maijewellery.com

Infinity charms are extremely popular amongst friends at the moment given its meaning of 'forever' A very simple, yet romantic idea. This bracelet from Mai Jewellery is a steal at only £8.00 so if you have lot's of bridesmaids, this won't break the bank.

Mai Jewellery also ships internationally!

If you would like to discuss bespoke jewellery ideas for your bridesmaids you can contact kimmi at hello@maijewellery.com

Or why not browse the website for more ready made jewellery ideas.
